Description: An Austin based marketing company is seeking an internal auditor with public accounting experience. The company is a worldwide, direct and targeted marketing company that provides direct marketing services and shopper advertising opportunities to a wide range of local, regional, national and international consumer and business-to-business marketers. This role will be responsible for conducting various types of audits of these business units including financial, information technology and capital project audits. The individual may also assist senior corporate staff on various special projects such as due diligence, SOX 404 testing, quarterly and annual report preparation, account reconciliations, or other various projects. The majority of the auditors time will be spent conducting financial audits to ascertain the reasonableness of the financial statements by performing substantive audit procedures on the recorded balances comprising the financial statements. These audits also entail documenting and testing internal controls within the various accounting and production cycles. The successful candidate will also provide value-added services in the form of recommendati
ons for improved control and enhanced business efficiency.

The successful candidate must have a BS in accounting and a minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience, preferably Big 4. This experience must include detailed substantive and analytical testing of the financial statements. The candidate must be adaptable to complete a variety of assignments, work independently, quickly adapt to and accept spontaneous changes in travel schedules, and be willing to accept 30-40% of annual overnight travel. A CPA certification is a plus.
