Michael Reagan: 'Let the military go do what it does best, kill people
and break things'

David Edwards and Muriel Kane

On Thursday, MSNBC's Scarborough Country discussed the rapid increase
in US military casualties in Iraq and the latest Gallup Poll, which
shows 54% of Americans wanting to get out of Iraq and only 25% saying
to stay the course.

In light of these facts, Joe Scarborough asked conservative
commentator Michael Reagan, "What can a president do but abandon a
bloody and unpopular war?"

"Shut off the television sets," Reagan responded.

"I mean, when was the last time you heard a body count on the other
side? ... All you hear about is the body count of Americans, not the
job that they are doing."

He continued, "If I was there with the president of the United States,
know what I'd tell him? I'd tell him shut off the press, let the
military go do what it does best, kill people and break things. ...
Give them some positive news about what these soldiers are doing that
are fighting. Yes, they are dying, but they are doing such a fabulous
job ..."

Moving on to elaborate on the negative consequences of the US pulling
out of Iraq, Reagan said, "I wouldn't blame Japan or Taiwan to go
nuclear, because no longer will anybody in the world be able to trust
the United States of America."

If Iraq is returned to the Iraqis, he insisted, one or two million
people will die and "they'll find another reason to hate America."

The following video is from MSNBC's Scarborough Country.

I was hoping Kristina Vandanhovel would ask him that when they were on

Scarborous show, but she didn't. He did take a moment however to tell her
that she "hated Amerca." He another perfect example of a republican pig.

"Fabulous job"? That and Bush's 3% raise ought to be enough for
those ungrateful rascals. Don't spend it all in one place, boys.

He really said that. I was amazed. I though the right wing nut jobs could
not amaze me anymore with their disdain for our freedoms, but he really said
to shut off the press. The he told the lady she "hated America." These guys
are out to destroy America, there can be no ther conclusion. Then they go
out of their way to question eveyone else patrotism.
The only good thing is, these far right wing extremsits are destroying the
republican party, and at this point in time, that's allright with me.

These Regressives are going to stamp their feet and hold their breath until
Bush makes them a part of his "base" and gives them the keys to The US
Treasury.
In their eyes Bush has screwed them.
