Description: The Staff Accountant will be assisting with the preparation of the consolidated financial statements, journal vouchers, account reconciliations, and ad-hoc reporting for the company. This individual will design, prepare, and publish internal and external financial statements. This role will prepare journal vouchers, monthly support schedules, reconcile general ledger accounts, and perform other month end duties. This position will review support schedules for accuracy and consistency before distribution. This function will assist in preparation of ad-hoc reports for special projects. This position will prepare schedules and assist with the external audit. This individual will prepare and review process maps for internal controls and insure SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) Compliance. This associate will act as a liaison to the Controller groups on accounting issues. This individual will assist in automation projects and recommends modifications/improvements to computer system applications.

Candidates should possess a Bachelors degree in Accounting with at least 2-4 years of professional experience. A CPA or CMA is preferred with public accounting experience. Knowledge of accounting theories and internal control principles using General Accepted Accounting Principles is needed. Applicants must be self-motivated and detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work. Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
