Description: Our client is seeking a Tax Partner/Leader. We are currently searching for a Tax Partner/Managing Director for a Southern California public accounting firm. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Tax Partner or Director (or similar level) in another large firm (top 10) looking to become -the leader- of a quality team in an excellent office in a great Southern California location. As immediate business development is not required, this is an outstanding opportunity to relocate (or return) to sunny Southern California if you are a Tax Partner or senior member of a large firm from another State or Northern California location. The keys to success in this role are leadership, communication, management, team building, a sophisticated knowledge of tax planning and consulting for both public (SEC) and private companies, and the sincere desire to be the leader and managing director of the team.

Experience as a Partner, Shareholder or Director (or similar level) in a Public Accounting Tax Department is required. A CPA, MBA, Masters in Tax or Masters in Accounting is required. Candidates must have roughly 15 plus years of progressive related experience including at least seven plus years in a public tax accounting environment with a focus on Corporate Tax including experience with both public and private companies. Commitment to a successful career in public tax accounting is essential. Candidates must have strong leadership, communication, team building, organizational and staff management skills, and an interest in community involvement. It is not required that the successful candidate bring a -book of business- to this role. However, it is required that the successful candidate has the ability to retain and grow business over time. This is therefore a great opportunity to join a Southern California team as -the leader- without the immediate responsibility of b ringing in new business to the company.
