Description: An exciting Controller opportunity exists with a key client here in San Diego. The company is a leader in their industry and highly regarded worldwide. The Controller is responsible for the consolidated financial reporting and the development and implementation of accounting policies to ensure that financials are in adherence to GAAP. Other responsibilities include the oversight of external auditor relationship, SOX related activity and the functional support for financial systems. Additional responsibilities include: Lead financial reporting and accounting policies. Provide financial insight to executive and upper management through quality and timely preparation, review and submission of consolidated financial reporting. Provide functional leadership to overall Controllership and Corporate Planning regarding procedures and general financial guidance. As part of the Controllership Leadership team, develop and maintain a world-class accounting and control organization. Lead the Consolidations and Reporting Team, developing objectives, implementing plans and running a quality organization.
