Description: Kforce is seeking a Controller in Revenue Recognition to partner with the Sales organization for Contract Negotiation and Revenue Accounting Support. You will drive revenue recognition compliance with GAAP and assist in the assessment of internal controls related to revenue recognition to ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley). You must be able to effectively partner cross-functionally with the sales and finance organizations in providing revenue recognition input relating to various types of sales offerings/models and implement easy to understand policies and procedures relating to these types of arrangements. Candidates must be experienced in the revenue accounting area, preferably in public accounting or private industry, supporting the Sales organization. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of experience and be highly skilled in the interpretation of SOP 97-2 and other revenue recognition accounting pronouncements as well as applicability to specific transactions in the context of a large high-tech public company. Strong and effective communications across multiple functional organizations are required. You must have excellent partnering and influencing skills, along with strong data reporting and analysis skills.
