Probably not.
It will have to happen with enough time left in Bush's administration
to where the new VP can become high profile for the 2008 election, but
not too soon so that they are tainted and politically damaged by the
current administration.
In order to fit both criteria, Cheney would have to resign two weeks
before the 2008 election. |
