Senate Republicans Deliver Sharp Criticism of Gonzales
Senators Say Attorney General Fired Prosecutors Without Explanation

Senior Senate Republicans today delivered scathing criticism of
Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales for his handling of the firing of
eight U.S. attorneys, joining Democrats in charging that the
prosecutors were dismissed without adequate explanation.
Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.), the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary
Committee, suggested that Gonzales's status as the nation's leading
law enforcement officer might not last through the remainder of
President Bush's term, pointedly disputing the attorney general's
public rationale for the mass firings.

Explain this dilemma, Bush lover:
* One of the U.S. attorneys fired was investigating corruption of a
Democratic officeholder and was called by Senate Republican Domenici to ask
if an indictment could be announced before Election Day. I can understand
the AG firing the U.S. attorney for not having the case ready on time,
meaning by Election Day.
* Another of the U.S. attorneys fired was the one who nailed the filthy,
corrupt Republican Congressmember Randy "Duke" Cunningham. Seems she did
her job...too well...and well before Election Day.
Why don't you resolve that dilemma for us, Bush worshipper?
What was it you said: "Ya don't do the job, you get shown the door!!"
Seems you have a problem here in the 2nd point. |
