Description: The selected Cost Accounting Supervisor will establish/maintain the standard cost system for all products, set-up the Bills of Material/Operation, establish procedures and controls to ensure the accuracy of inventory and cost of goods sold, develop/document and implement monthly cost accounting closing procedures, examine inventory for potential short-dated lots and failed batches (to ensure inventory balances accounted for according to GAAP), perform absorption calculation and analysis, perform variances analysis, develop standard costs for new products, perform monthly cycle count audit and manage annual physical inventory, assist in the development of rates (the annual operation and capital budget, standard hourly rate, and overhead rates). A B.S. in Accounting with ten (10) years of experience in cost accounting is required. Five (5) years of managerial capacity of pharmaceutical, chemical, or food processing industries experience are preferred.
